Five months after Real Madrid paid £38million for the highly rated forward Vinicius Junior - the most expensive player born this century - Los Blancos will splash even more cash on young blood.

According to Spanish publication AS, the La Liga giants have reached an agreement with Palmeiras to sign Brazilian starlet Alan, who is currently with the Brazil Under-17 side at the World Cup.

If the reports are true, Alan will not overtake Vinicius Junior as the most expensive player born this century, despite having a release clause of £44.7million.

Los Blancos are confident they can negotiate a lower fee when he is in the final year of his contract.

Zidane's side are expected to officially bring the player to Madrid after he turns 18.

Alan, who is younger than Junior, has made 16 appearances for the U17 side, scoring three in the process.

Beginning his career in the Sao Paulo youth team, the 17-year-old moved to Palmeiras in 2014.

Alan will have some huge talent alongside him at the Bernabeu, if he eventually moves to Madrid. The highly rated forward Vinicius Junior has been heralded as 'the pearl of Brazil's football', though he won't link up with his new teammates until 2018.

Here's a compilation of Brazil's latest talent, Alan:

The Brazilian is a versatile player and can employ any position in the attacking line, so he'll add competition to Zinedine Zidane's squad. Barcelona had also showed an interest by tabling their own offer, though 'Vini' has opted to join Real Madrid.

The €45 million deal could rise to €61 million once every bonus and fee is paid.

In fact, Junior is the most expensive ever 16 year old, beating Theo Walcott's former record by a long stretch. The Arsenal forward moved from Southampton for £12.5 million in 2006.

It looks like Los Blancos are preparing well for the future.
