Real Madrid have joined Barcelona in the race to sign German prodigy Karim Adeyemi from RB Salzburg.
The 19-year-old is enjoying a breakthrough campaign in the Austrian Bundesliga after netting 15 goals in 25 appearances across all competitions, and Spanish publication SPORT reports that it may take a fee of up to €50 million to prise the starlet away from the club.
Los Blancos believes the Adeyemi could be a cheaper alternative to Erling Haaland, with Manchester United reportedly willing to pay up to a staggering €220 million for the Norwegian.

The same report revealed that Borussia Dortmund attempted to strike a deal for the Germany international, but their previous bid of €35 million was rejected.
Barcelona are expected to come in with a slightly higher offer, with Barca Universal suggesting that the club are ready to make a bid of €40 million for the player.
Adeyemi could be the focus of a bidding war across Europe, with the likes of Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain also rumoured to be interested in the teenager.

The striker has enjoyed a stellar start to his career, and already boasts an impressive haul of trophies after winning two Austrian Bundesliga titles, two Austrian Cups and a European U21 Championship title with Germany earlier this year.
He also won his first cap for 'Die Mannschaft' in September, and scored on his debut in a 6-0 drubbing of Armenia in a World Cup qualifier.
This was followed by two further appearances in 2-1 and 4-0 wins over Romania and North Macedonia in October.
But for now, Adeyemi's focus will be on RB Salzburg's next match at home to Hartberg on Saturday.
