It looks like Real Madrid are ready to make a huge statement - a bid for Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic this summer.

Pjanic, who has been linked with a move to rivals Barcelona in the past, also has an admirer in Lionel Messi, who is said to be a huge fan of the Bosnian international.

In fact, according to Don Balon, the five-time Balon d'Or winner wants the 28-year-old to join him at the Camp Nou, but there's one problem - Los Blancos are reportedly keen to make a move, as well.

It is believed that Italian champions Juventus want 80 million euros for the midfielder, with the report stating that Florentino Perez is convinced that he can bring him to the Bernabeu in the future.

The Serie A side shelled out £25.4 million for the Bosnian international from fellow Serie A club Roma back in 2016.

Before that, he has plying his trade at the Stadio Olimpico since 2011, amassing 150 appearances and scoring 27 goals in the process.

He has forged his reputation as a creative midfielder for the Turin based team, and his ability would certainly be a huge coup for either Madrid or Barcelona.

One thing is for sure, though, Pjanic will not play for Manchester City this season after manager Pep Guardiola denied any interest.

"Pjanic is a player of Juventus and we are not interested in him. He is a top player, but we are not interested in him." he said.

Do you think Pjanic should leave Juventus for another club?
