Arsenal only managed to bring in Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac in the summer, but Arsene Wenger has already got an eye on the next transfer window.

According to FootMarcato via The Sun, the Gunners are already plotting a move for highly rated left-back Christopher Rocchia, who is currently impressing in Marseille's youth setup.

At the age of 19, Rocchia has been touted as the next Patrice Evra, who currently plays for the Ligue 1 side after spells at Manchester United, Juventus and Monaco.

Arsenal aren't the only club interested in the youngster's services.

According to The Sun's report, Michael Zorc, the Borussia Dortmund sporting director, has also made an approach for Rocchia.

The player's contract will run out next summer, and the player is thought to be considering a move to England or Germany, despite Marseille offering a new and improved deal to stay at the Orange Vélodrome.

Former Arsenal player Gilles Grimandi, who is now a scout at the club, has contacted Rocchia's advisors about a transfer after watching him play, according to the report.

Do you think Arsene Wenger needs to do more business in the January transfer window?

For many years Wenger has been mocked for becoming a parody of himself by signing youngsters from Europe, usually France, when they were totally unknown.

A run of signing the likes of Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Petr Cech got rid of that label with big money moves that actually seemed to make sense.

But it seems Wenger, who has recently signed a new deal, could go back to his old ways with the signing of the relatively unknown Christopher Rocchia.
