Premier League Manager Confirms Interest In January Move For Jack Wilshere

Jack Wilshere is being eyed up by a Premier League club with their manager confirming his interest in a potential January move.

The England midfielder has barely featured in Arsenal's league campaign, only running out for Arsene Wenger's side in the Europa League as well as other cup competitions.

And ahead of the transfer window reopening in January, West Ham manager David Moyes has declared his desire in signing Wilshere.

Despite the Hammers picking up three points over the weekend against Chelsea, the club are in desperate need of strengthening as they bid to keep their spot among England's elite.

West Ham are sitting precariously in 19th. Naturally, Moyes is keen on adding to his squad in January. Pin pointing Wilshere's services.

"You'd hope that if you took a player from another Premier League club it'd be much easier for him to go right into the team and play well," he told The Guardian.

"Jack Wilshere would be someone who we'd have to look at if he was available.

Moyes is eager to acquire new talent in the market ahead of the second half of the league season.

"I do believe the transfer window could be the difference between relegation and staying up. If we can get the right players, that's the big part of it.

"I also want to make sure we're looking at players who've got time and who can be at the club for a long period and not just in for a short period.

"Then there's also the short-term fix for me which is, how do we get enough wins between now and the end of the season? There's a balance between that," he added.
