Paris Saint-Germain are "seriously going for" AC Milan's Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The French giants have opened negotiations with AC Milan over Donnarumma in view to a €50 million (£45 million) transfer.

AC Milan also want Alphonse Areola as part of the deal according to Calciomercato. The France stopper is valued at €20 million (£18 million).

PSG, who recently released Gianluigi Buffon, have been hellbent on signing a goalkeeper with the club heavily linked with a move for Manchester United's David De Gea.

Though it appears they've ended their pursuit for the Spaniard by targeting the 20-year-old Italian.

Donnarumma has been subject to intense transfer speculation since breaking onto the scene in 2015, and he could finally be set to secure a move away from Milan this summer.

Free-agent Buffon once hailed Donnarumma as "extraordinary".

"A goalkeeper to follow me? At the moment the most interesting is Donnarumma," he said.

"At a European level he's the youngest and it's normal that there's curiosity surrounding him. He's a lad with extraordinary skills."
