The Lord returns!

Nicklas Bendtner could be on his way back to England and facing Arsenal within weeks. The Danish striker has been without a club since being released by Wolfsburg back in June.

It's been all downhill since Bendtner really broke through at the Emirates eight years ago, scoring 15 goals in 50 games during the 2008/09 season.

He had more fruitless years at Arsenal before struggling out on loan with Sunderland and Juventus and finally moving to Germany two years ago.

But Bendtner managed just nine goals in 47 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit after failing to kick a ball for the last three months of the campaign due to disciplinary issues.

The 28-year-old frontman must be on the lookout for a new team - and, according to respected Greek journalist Antonis Oikonomidis who appears to have a strong link with the club, he could be on his way to Nottingham Forest.

And that's exciting news for Arsenal fans as they play Forest in the EFL Cup third round on September 20th:

You just know Forest will sign Bendtner the week of the Arsenal game before starting him against them.

And knowing Bendtner, he'll no doubt score the winner before doing absolutely nothing for the remainder of his Forest career.
