Mesut Özil Met With Another Club On Recent Trip

In news that may worry Arsenal fans ever so slightly, Mesut Özil met with Fenerbahce officials during a recent whirlwind trip to Istanbul, according to reports in Turkey.
Turkish media outlet Hurriyet claim that the Gunners' assist king held talks with the 19 time Super Lig champions over a potential future move.
The World Cup winner has made no secret of his affection for the Istanbul club in the past, saying in an interview in July, "In the future I want to wear a Fenerbahce shirt. It would be an honour. Everyone knows I am a Fenerbahce fan."

However, Arsenal fans shouldn't perhaps enter panic mode just yet as it is believed the move Özil was discussing was a more long-term plan rather than anything in the immediate future.
