Manchester United's summer transfer plans seem to change almost daily, with Jose Mourinho reportedly registering an interest in a different player every other hour.

The likes of (takes deep breath) Antoine Griezmann, Kylian Mbappe, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Eric Dier, Harry Kane, Mesut Ozil, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Victor Lindelof, Nelson Semedo, Toby Alderweireld, Willian and Neymar (LOL) have all been linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent months and now another name can be added to the ever expanding spreadsheet titled 'Players What Manchester United Gone And Done Big Money Bids For'.

Reports are now emanating from Germany that an apparently unsettled Bayern Munich star has found his way onto Jose Mourinho's shopping list.

Kicker are today claiming that full back/defensive midfielder/Phillip Lahm's natural heir Joshua Kimmich is being targeted by the Old Trafford outfit and that a "concrete enquiry" has been made.

Kimmich has found himself regularly benched in recent months and spoke out about his dissatisfaction with his lack of minutes after Bayern's recent 3-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt.

"It does not matter whether I understand it or not. The fact is I'm not satisfied with it and I want to change it.

"The coach knows I can play as a number six and at right back, also in the centre of defence. From that he has many options to use me.

"I know my weaknesses and work on them - especially when I'm not playing, I try to do more.

"In the Bundesliga we have a good lead now and maybe [the team] will be rotated."

It was believed the 22-year-old would be Phillip Lahm's successor once the former Germany captain retires at the end of the season but, suddenly, that no longer looks as clear cut, with Carlo Ancelotti seemingly not regarding the former Leipzig youngster as a dead cert for his first XI week in, week out.

Kimmich's disillusionment at his current role has apparently made Jose Mourinho's ears prick up, while Pep Guardiola would also welcome the Germany international into his Manchester City squad.

Kimmich is contracted until 2020 at the Allianz Arena, but may attempt to force through a move away from Bavaria should his current situation under Ancelotti not be resolved in the way he desires.

Two unnamed Spanish clubs are also believed to be interested in Kimmich should he become available.
