It's common knowledge that you can ALWAYS rely on 'Football Twitter' to help force through a transfer.

In recent days Alexis Sanchez has been heavily linked with a move away from Arsenal and as a result, Manchester United's Twitter community continues to spam the club's posts with 'Announce Sanchez' messages.

From a post confirming the return of Cameron Borthwick-Jackson from Leeds to a standard reaction piece from the official website, United fans really want the transfer to happen.

Just check out some of these latest photoshops:

Despite that fact that Pep Guardiola's side have expressed an interest in recent weeks, the club have now reportedly 'pulled the plug' on a deal for Alexis Sanchez, according to Manchester City correspondent Sam Lee.

Apparently the transfer was all agreed, but his agent Fernando Felicevich told the club that Manchester United are offering more in both wages and fees.

Sam Lee goes on to explain how Sanchez wanted to play under Guardiola once again.

But the Manchester City manager has doubted the player's commitment after reports emerged of a potential move to rivals Manchester United.

Sanchez is now expected to complete a move to Old Trafford in the coming days. Perhaps these photoshops will force through a deal...

Or maybe not.
