Mason Greenwood has become a shock transfer target for Arsenal, with a host of other clubs also interested in signing the Manchester United ace.

Greenwood is being touted for a tip to the Emirates in light of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's issues in north London, while Eddie Nketiah and Alexander Lacazette are both out of contract in the summer.

The 20-year-old is an ideal long-term replacement for any one of those players, and his undisputed talent is attracting admiring glances from a host of top European clubs.

Spanish publication, El Nacional, reports that Arsenal, Juventus and Barcelona are all set to battle for the England starlet's signature.

His versatility and two-footedness are two big sought-after assets, and Barca president Joan Laporta is said to be a big fan of the Bradford-born forward.

The cash-strapped Catalans are also said to be interested in Anthony Martial, but Xavi would pick Greenwood over the Frenchman if he had to choose between the two players.

Despite being tipped as a future United great, Greenwood is yet to start a match under Ralf Rangnick after coming off the bench in the 1-0 wins over Crystal Palace and Norwich City respectively.

He has scored five goals and registered two assists across 17 appearances across all competitions this season, with his most recent goal coming in a 4-2 defeat to Leicester City in October.

Greenwood also found the net in the Red Devils' first three matches of the season, in 5-1 wins over Leeds United and Wolves, as well as in the 1-1 draw with Southampton that was sandwiched between those two fixtures.

Following the postponement of Saturday's match against Brighton & Hove Albion, Rangnick's men are next in line to play away at Newcastle United on 27th December.
