Manchester City And Manchester United Set For Transfer Tug-Of-War

Manchester City and Manchester United are reportedly tracking the same player.

It's not the first time the pair of Manchester clubs have targeted the same talent.

City expressed a desire to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal in January until United entered the race.

Pep Guardiola identified the Chilean attacker but he eventually sealed a stunning transfer to the red side of Manchester.

Eight months on from the Sanchez saga, another ace is being linked with both City and United.

It appears City are interested in signing Ruben Neves. However, the defending Premier League champions fear United would rival any bid per reports from Goal.

The Portuguese starred for Wolves last season in the Championship, steering his side to promotion and he's continued his heroics in the top flight.

He opened his Premier League account in style by smashing a free-kick versus Everton.

And he's forging a brilliant partnership with fellow Portugal international Joao Moutinho, following his signing from AS Monaco.

Wolves secured Neves' services by tabling a then-club record fee in the region of £15 million in 2017.

The 21-year-old rose to prominence at FC Porto, making his Champions League debut as a teenager.
