Liverpool And Spurs Chasing Ex-Chelsea Player

With both teams' entering an exciting period under inventive, progressive managers, Liverpool and Spurs are now targeting the same players to rejuvenate their teams further ahead of next season.

Mauricio Pochettino and Jurgen Klopp are set to battle for the signature of ex-Chelsea man Andre Schurrle, who departed Stamford Bridge last season for Wolfsburg in a £22m deal.

Schurrle was expected to be a like for like replacement for another former Chelsea star, Kevin de Bruyne, who joined Manchester City for £50m in August and has been a revelation since arriving at the Etihad. Schurrle, on the other hand, has struggled to make an impression for Dieter Hecking's team and is now believed to favour a move back to the Premier League with Wolfsburg allowing him to leave the Volkswagen Arena after the current campaign has finished.
