WHAT THE ACTUAL F*CK.

Let's not beat around the bush here. Lionel Messi has been offered €100m a-year to play for Chinese Super League side Hebei China Fortune and we are truly horrified by how much he would pocket every week.

It has been reported that the Chinese Super League side will try and hijack Barcelona's plan to offer the Argentine winger a new contract by offering him a ridiculous amount of money that would be hard to turn down for any human being, even Lionel Messi.

Goal have reported that Hebei China Fortune, who are managed by former Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini, will offer the player a five-year contract.

That means Lionel Messi would earn €500 million-in the space of five years.

We got our trusty calculator out and worked out that Messi would earn:

- €100 million a-year.
- €8.3 million a-month
- €1.93 million a-week

It's quite extraordinary how much Messi would earn in the space of a year in China, but multiply the above by five and the mind boggles.
Imagine earning almost €2 million every single week.

One of Hebei Fortune's biggest players Ezequiel Lavezzi, who earns €13 million a-year, left Paris-Saint Germain in early 2016 and the Chinese Super League has since made outrageous bids to sign some recognisable names in world football, including most recently Oscar and Carlos Tevez.

Oscar is '90% certain' to sign for Shanghai SIPG in January, while Tevez in mulling over a move to the same club.

Crazy, crazy money.
