Leicester Star Subject Of Insane Bid From Chinese Super League

Leicester Star Subject Of Insane Bid From Chinese Super League

The insanity continues

Stop us if you've heard this one before, but a Premier League player is set to be offered an absurd amount of money to ditch top class competition and Champions League football for the Chinese Super League.

The player in question this time is Leicester City striker Islam Slimani.

Tianjin Quanjian, not content with bringing Pato aboard earlier this week, are now preparing an offer of £38m for the Algerian striker, £10m more than the Foxes paid Sporting CP for the 28-year-old's services last Summer.

On top of the enormous transfer fee, Quanjian will also look to tempt Slimani to the Far East with a wage packet worth £300,000-per-week before tax, according to Sky Sports.

Slimani has found the net six times in 16 appearances since arriving at the King Power Stadium and it's doubtful Claudio Ranieri would want to lose his club record signing with so little time in the transfer window left to find an adequate replacement.

£15.6m a year or Premier League and Champions League football? What would you choose?
