The completely batshit mental career of Lassana Diarra has taken yet another turn, today, with the 32-year-old French midfielder signing for Paris Saint-Germain.

Diarra put pen to paper on a one-year deal today before being presented to the media by the Ligue Un table toppers, this evening.

The Frenchman, who had most recently been turning out (albeit briefly) for Al Jazira, in the United Arab Emirates, has made PSG his tenth club in a career that has meandered around the world, from Chelsea to Portsmouth to Real Madrid to Russia back to France and then to the Middle East.

Speaking to PSG's official website after the move was made official, Diarra expressed his delight at completing the switch to the French capital.

"I am very happy to have signed for my home-town club, declared Lassana Diarra after signing his contract on Tuesday. Paris Saint-Germain represents a lot to me and, with the international dimension the club has taken in recent seasons, it is every player's dream to play here. I am lucky enough to make this dream come true, to know what it feels like to play at the Parc des Princes wearing the Rouge et Bleu. I intend to do everything I can, bring all my experience and show all my desire to play, to prove that the club has made the right choice in showing its confidence in me."

Diarra has won 34 caps for France and has won two FA Cups (one with Chelsea and one with Portsmouth) as well as La Liga with Real Madrid.
