Juventus apparently want one of Europe's most lethal strikers.

The defending Italian champions are currently occupying second spot in the Serie A, one point behind league leaders Napoli.

And with the transfer window in full flow, Massimiliano Allegri is hoping to lure a prolific striker to Turin to potentially replace Gonzalo Higuain.

Juventus snapped up the Argentine forward in 2016 for a reported €90 million. But a couple of years later, the club are prepared to splash a similar amount to sign Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski.

Per Italian outlet Tuttosport, Juventus are plotting a mammoth bid to acquire the deadly Polish international.

While Juventus are on course to draft in Liverpool's Emre Can on a free at the end of the season, the club are hoping to send shock waves through Europe by adding Lewandowski to their books.

The 29-year-old has been wrecking havoc in Germany's top flight since 2010. He began his goal scoring foray in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund before moving to the reigning champions in 2014, where's he's bagged for fun.

Though his future has been up in the air with constant rumours linking him with a move away from Munich.

Chelsea and Real Madrid remain heavily linked with his services, yet, it appears Juventus have entered the race for his signature.

It could be a busy spell of transfer activity in Juventus. Not only are the club keeping tabs on Lewandowski, but Paulo Dybala is also courting interest from Europe's elite with uncertainty surrounding Mario Mandzukic's future, too.
