With only a couple of days of the transfer window remaining there is still a lot of business to be done and one team who have are still looking to break the bank on a marquee signing is Paris Saint-Germain and it looks as though the French champions have found their man, in Wolfsburg's Julian Draxler.
Since welcoming Europa League winning manager Unai Emery to the club a few months ago, PSG have added Real Madrid's Jese to the club, alongside Hatem Ben Arfa and Grzegorz Krychowiak. But, talented as these players are, with the likes of Ezequiel Lavezzi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic departing the club recently, the Ligue Un champions still feel the need to break the bank one more time and, with moves for Romelu Lukaku and James Rodriguez coming to a dead end, attention has been turned to Draxler.
The German attacker has seen his stock rise even further since his £30m move from Schalke to Wolfsburg two years ago and the Volkswagen sponsored team will now potentially double their money on Draxler, with PSG willing to part with a club record £64m to secure his services.
Advert
The 22-year-old had long been linked with a move to Arsenal, but it would appear France is now to be his most likely next destination.
