Juan Mata Linked With Sensational Move Away From Manchester United

It appears Juan Mata could be leaving Manchester United during the summer transfer window.

The 30-year-old has plied his professional trade in England's top flight since 2011 following a transfer from Valencia to Chelsea.

But reports suggest Mata may be returning to Spain.

The midfielder has been linked with a move to Barcelona and sources close to the situation claim progress has been made regarding a transfer.

Barcelona continue to eye up new midfield options after the emotional departure of club legend Andres Iniesta, who called time on his career at the iconic Camp Nou at the end of last season by transferring to Japanese outfit Vissel Kobe.

Mata is viewed as an inexpensive option while also monitoring Bayern Munich's Thiago Alcantara.

The ex-academy product remains subject to intense transfer speculation with Bayern Munich prepared to sell the Spanish international.
