Shortly after Manchester United lifted the Europa League trophy, José Mourinho said that he gave Ed Woodward the names of new players he wants to sign more than two months ago.

"Now its for him and the owners. I just wait" claimed Mourinho, but who is on his summer transfer window wish list?

We all know Antoine Griezmann and the speculation surrounding his move to Old Trafford, but what about United's defensive options?

Will Jose Mourinho replace the likes of Chris Smalling and Phil Jones?

According to Sky Sports, Manchester United have already identified three defensive options ahead of the transfer window opening.

Jose Mourinho will reportedly persue Michael Keane, Virgil van Dijk and Victor Lindelo in the window.

The report goes onto state that United are expected to sign one of the above defenders before the season opener in August.

Lindelof was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford last summer, and many believed he was on his way before talks evaporated at the last minute.

Keane, who was sold by United for just £2 million back in 2015, has been linked with a move away from Burnley for some time. Jurgen Klopp is also thought to be interested in the centre-back.

And the last player involved in this pursuit is Southampton's Van Dijk, who is expected to bring around £50m in the summer.
