Ramires was a cult figure at Stamford Bridge. He won the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup during a trophy-laden spell in London.

Despite his status at Chelsea, the player decided to join Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning last year, in a deal thought to be worth around £25 million.

Months later, Ramires claimed that he didn't opt to move to China in January for the sacks of money on offer - it was because Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink didn't like him.

Speaking via The Mirror in April 2016, he said: "One of the big reasons I left Chelsea was the arrival of the new coach. He didn't like me as a player or my way and decided very rashly that he wasn't going to give me an opportunity to fight for a place in his team."

Despite the sudden and seemingly bitter departure from Chelsea, Ramires went on to claim that he still holds the club in high regard, and will remember his time with the Blues fondly.

"I am a Chelsea supporter and want the club to get back into the Champions League as quickly as possible because that is where they belong." he said.

Well, 18 months after making those comments about former Chelsea manager Hiddink, the Brazilian midfielder is reportedly on his way back to Europe.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Ramires will join Serie A side Inter Milan from Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning.

As the CSL season ends in November, it would make perfect sense for the midfielder to join another club and Inter, who have connections with the Suning Group, will join on a loan deal.

Ramires will initially join the Italian side on loan, as the report states that the club only have one more slot remaining to register non-EU players.

The likes of Ezequiel Lavezzi, Carlos Tevez, Axel Witsel, Oscar, Hulk and Alex Teixeira are just a number of the high-profile players to have been lured by the super league.

But will they be able to convince other big names to join in the coming months?

Let us know in the comments.
