Jack Wilshere may not be planning on returning to Arsenal after his loan spell at Bournemouth expires, with the 24-year-old midfielder eyeing a permanent move away from the Gunners.

News of Wilshere's desire to leave North London has reportedly reached Italy, where AC Milan are willing to make a move for the England international, next Summer, according to CalcioMercato.

Wilshere's stock at the Emirates stadium fell due to a slew of injuries which knocked him down Arsene Wenger's pecking order in central midfield, behind the likes of Francis Coquelin, Mohamed Elneny, Santi Cazorla and Summer signing Granit Xhaka.

The FA Cup winning midfielder has made eight appearances for the Cherries this term, although with interest from abroad strengthening, Eddie Howe may not be able to retain Wilshere past the end of the campaign.
