Kasper Schmeichel's heroics between the posts for Leicester City may have been overlooked due to the outstanding form of the likes of Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy and N'Golo Kante this season, but not by Barcelona it seems, who are eyeing up a £15m move for the Danish goalkeeper.
The 29-year-old, son of legendary Manchester United stopper Peter Schmeichel, began his English adventure with United's rivals City before moving to Notts County and then Leeds, before signing for the Foxes in 2011.
It is widely reported that Barca will allow Marc-Andre Ter Stegen to leave in the Summer, with the 23-year-old demanding more first team football. Although it's unlikely Schmeichel would give up a guaranteed starting place at a Champions League club to sit on the bench at the Camp Nou next season. The Denmark number one would likely want a starting berth ahead of Claudio Bravo were he to move to the Spanish champions.
