When presented with a Saturday off work, most of us would opt for a lie in, a dangerously unhealthy breakfast and a camp on the settee where inhumane amounts of Netflix can be consumed until the pub calls in the afternoon.
David Moyes, meanwhile, decided that, even though his relegation threatened Sunderland weren't in action today, due to being eliminated from the FA Cup in the third round, he'd make the trip to Falkirk to run the rule over much sought after 17-year-old full-back Tony Gallacher.
Gallacher, you may recall, has been commanding the attention of Manchester United and even Barcelona, recently.

Let's hope Gallacher's career pans out better than these 'wonderkids' careers did...
Falkirk were entertaining St. Mirren and, with Patrick Van Aaholt being allowed to leave the Stadium of Light for Crystal Palace this week in a £14m deal, the former Manchester United and Everton manager has money to burn on a replacement.
The only problem, however, was that Gallacher was named on the substitutes bench.

From the North East of England to Falkirk is roughly a three hour drive, meaning Moyes made a six hour round trip to watch a player sit on the bench.
We hope someone else caught his eye during the match to make his trip worthwhile. Otherwise it's a tremendous waste of a Saturday that could have been spent binge watching 'It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia' like any self respecting human being would do.
