Juventus' pursuit of Nemanja Matic appears to have hit a roadblock, with Chelsea refusing to sell the Serbian midfielder. However, the Blues have a counter offer that the 'Bianconeri' may be interested in.
Following the sale of Paul Pogba to Manchester United, this week, Juve are looking to replace the Frenchman with another quality midfielder but with Matic off limits, Chelsea have instead apparently offered Cesc Fabregas to the Italian champions, as an alternative.
New Blues boss and ex-Juventus manager Antonio Conte was steadfast in refusal to even listen to any offers for Matic, but isn't as keen on Spain international Fabregas, who endured a dire season last term and in turn lost a lot of support from the Stamford Bridge faithful.
Advert
It is believed the former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder would be available for around €45m when you factor in his €7m yearly wages.
