Chelsea have enjoyed a great deal of success with former players returning to the club over the past few years, after Didier Drogba and David Luiz came back to Stamford Bridge and lifted Premier League titles. And now another Blues favourite is eyeing up a return to the club.
Having spent eight years at Stamford Bridge, lifting a Premier League title, four FA Cups, a Champions League, a Europa League and a League Cup, Ashley Cole is ready to return to the club he first joined in a storm of 'Cashley' chants, 11 years ago.
Cole, now 36, left Chelsea in 2014 before spending two seasons forgetting how to pose for team photos with Roma. Now at LA Galaxy, the left-back has admitted, in a recent interview with FourFourTwo, that he sees his future at Stamford Bridge in a coaching or scouting capacity, although he's not contemplating retirement just yet.

"I'm enjoying it here at the moment, but I would like to go back to England and work for Chelsea in some capacity if I could, so that would be my first choice.

"Coaching or being a scout is something I've always considered and enjoyed while watching games.

"I try to nurture young players coming through, so it's something I have in the back of my mind for after I finish playing.
"I want to play for as long as I possibly can, because once you finish playing, you are done for life."

The former England international, who was capped 107 times for the Three Lions, has been vilified at Arsenal since he traded North London for West London in 2006, signing for Chelsea for £5 million plus William Gallas. He would go onto make 338 appearances for the Blues, establishing himself as one of the finest full-backs of his generation.
