Borussia Dortmund have rejected a massive €98 million (£89 million) from Manchester United for superstar forward Jadon Sancho.

Stunning reports in Germany claim United have offered a huge sum for Sancho which has been turned down by the Bundesliga team.

The Reds secured a Champions League place for next season with the club set to continue their pursuit of Sancho, who remains their main transfer target.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side beat Leicester City 2-0 on the final day of the Premier League season to earn a third-place finish and the United boss is eyeing new recruits ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.

And the England international is high on his transfer wishlist with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and chief negotiator Matt Judge set to hold talks with Dortmund to secure the player's services.

The German outfit value the 20-year-old at £118 million but United are hopeful of agreeing a deal which would include a series of achievable add-ons, according to ESPN.

The ex-Manchester City youth ace has two years left to run on his current contract, but he's keen to ply his trade in England's top flight.

Spanish champions Real Madrid and English champions Liverpool have also expressed an interest in signing Sancho with Chelsea linked with him, too.
