Barcelona Set To Get Rid Of SIX Players Following Philippe Coutinho Signing
One in, six out. Well, by the looks of it.
Barcelona finally got their hands on Philippe Coutinho after successful attempts in the summer window. But, they once again tested Liverpool's resolve, with the club succumbing to a mammoth £142 million bid.
Coutinho, who arrives at the Camp Nou with a injury to his right thigh, will don the iconic No.14 shirt previously worn by Dutch hero Johan Cruyff, and more recently Thierry Henry.
Not to mention taking Javier Mascherano's shirt, who's days at Barcelona appear to be numbered.
And he's not the only player who's time at the club is set to be over.
According to reports via Spanish outlet Marca, after completing a deal for Coutinho, Barcelona will balance the books by offloading a further five players.
Arda Turan, Aleix Vidal, Rafinha Alcantara, Gerard Deulofeu and Andre Gomes are 'all likely to depart, or at the very least entertain offers', per Marca.
Turan, 30, continues to dominate the transfer rumour mills, with reports suggesting he's set to seal a move back to Turkey with Basaksehir. Everton have also been linked with his services.
Deulofeu is subject to interest with Serie A duo Napoli and Inter Milan courting the winger.
Gomes has failed to produce the goods following his transfer from Valencia in 2016. Spurs, among others, are reportedly eyeing up the Portuguese midfielder.
Finally, wing-backs Vidal and Rafinha are muted to be leaving the club.
How will the Barcelona shake-up look once the window is shut?
