AS Roma and Bordeaux have yet to sign any contract which frees up negotiations with Barcelona.
Barcelona look set to hijack the Malcom transfer at the last minute with the player due to undergo a medical at AS Roma.
Fans were even waiting for his arrival in Rome. But, obviously, he didn't turn up.
The 2017/18 La Liga champions turning their attention to Malcom could suggest a move for Willian is off the table.
The club tabled a few unsuccessful bids for the Chelsea attacker as they look to reinforce their attack ahead of the new season.
