Barcelona fans appear to have stormed the Camp Nou to protest against their current president, Josep Bartomeu. This comes after Lionel Messi handed in a transfer request in the evening of August 25th.

Barcelona keeps seeing themselves dropping lower and lower as the days pass.

With living-legend Lionel Messi handing in a formal transfer request on August 25th, Barcelona's leadership is coming under harsh scrutiny.

Josep Bartomeu, the current Barcelona president who has held the position since 2014, only has one year left in his presidency with him reaching the maximum amount of terms one can have as president.

However, his impending departure isn't soon enough for many Barcelona fans with him being put to blame for everything that has gone wrong at the Catalan club for the past few years.

The Messi transfer request is just the straw that broke the camel's back.On the night of August 26th, Barcelona fans stormed the gates of Camp Nou and reportedly looking to bring Bartomeu to 'justice'.

David Ibanez caught the video and tweeted out:

"A group of fans enter the Camp Nou as a group. Security personnel cannot stop them. They go for Bartomeu who is inside. TENSION IN THE CAMP NOU. The Mossos d'Esquadra had to intervene."

The tweet has since been deleted.

However, Bartomeu was not in the stadium at the time, with the president and the rest of the leadership leaving the stadium around lunch-time of that day according to journalist, Alfredo Martinez.
