They may have possibly the greatest strike trio in the history of football, but Barcelona were keen to add another hitman to their firing squad over the Summer. Although the Catalans ended up with Valencia's Paco Alcacer, the young Spanish striker wasn't always their first choice.

According to reports in Calcio Mercato, Juventus' Paulo Dybala was Luis Enrique's first choice and the Spanish champions were prepared to part with a monstrous €90m in order to bring the young Argentine to the Camp Nou.

The Turin club turned the offer down flat, obviously not wanting to lose both Paul Pogba and Dybala in one Summer. It was a rejection the former Palermo youngster was more than grateful for.

"Juventus rejected an offer for me [€ 90 million from Barcelona] and I have to thank Juventus because that mean they believe in me. It is difficult to reject these kinds of offers. I am happy to stay, I am playing in one of the best clubs in the world and if I'd ever decide to leave, it'd be for the club's good."

Dybala, who found the net 23 times during his debut campaign with 'The Old Lady' has become one of the most sought after forwards in world football during the past three years and will surely be courted by several of Europe's biggest clubs again, next Summer.
