Barcelona's pursuit of Mesut Ozil is set to be stepped up a few notches with the revelation that the European and Spanish champions are set to offer Arsenal three players in exchange for the German maestro.
Spanish daily AS are reporting that Barca are willing to offer Sandro, Munir and the recently signed Arda Turan for the former Real Madrid man's services.
Obviously, Arsenal fans haven't been too thrilled at the news that Barca are attempting to offer Turan and two fringe players in exchange for their best player, but the reason the Catalan giants are wanting to do a swap deal is due to a buy back clause that Real Madrid inserted into the £42m deal that took Ozil from the Bernabeu to the Emirates three years ago.
The deal stipulates that if Arsenal accept a bid from any Spanish club, they must accept a bid from Real Madrid on the same terms. This means that Real, should they want to bring Ozil back to the Spanish capital, would have to offer several of their first team players for the former Werder Bremen schemer.
However, given that Zinedine Zidane is apparently ready to offload Isco, James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos in the Summer, perhaps 'Los Blancos' could stump their arch rivals and do so in style.
