Asmir Begovic may be grateful to Chelsea for allowing him to join Bournemouth so he can once again enjoy regular first team football, but the Bosnian goalkeeper hasn't been able to resist taking a few subtle digs at the man who may be replacing him at Stamford Bridge.
During the past week, reports have claimed that Chelsea are close to reaching an agreement with Manchester City for Willy Caballero, who would effectively replace Begovic as Antonio Conte's second choice goalkeeper, behind Thibaut Courtois.
Caballero has proved to be a relatively reliable understudy to both Joe Hart and the much maligned Claudio Bravo during his time at the Etihad Stadium, most notably making vital penalty shootout saves which helped City clinch the 2016 League Cup at the expense of Liverpool.

However, the 35-year-old Argentine seems to be surplus to demands at Eastlands nowadays, following the recent arrival of Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson, from Benfica. With his vast experience, Antonio Conte sees Caballero as the ideal back up for Courtois.
Only Begovic doesn't share the same enthusiasm for the move, if his Twitter activity is anything to go by.
The 29-year-old liked a pair of tweets that questioned Chelsea's pursuit of Caballero, claiming that the Premier League champions could do better than sign the 35-year-old.

Begovic made 25 appearances for Chelsea during his debut season at Stamford Bridge, making most of those during Courtois' three month injury lay off in 2015.

However, last season, the Bosnian shot stopper only turned out eight times, before being allowed to leave for Bournemouth at the end of the campaign.
