Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed he and his squad of players have sent a get well soon video message to stricken Hull City midfielder Ryan Mason.

Mason, who came through the ranks at Spurs before moving to Hull last summer, suffered a fractured skull after a blood-curdling challenge with Chelsea defender Gary Cahill on Sunday, and was forced to undergo emergency surgery.

Three representatives from Chelsea, including club captain John Terry and Gary Cahill, were at St Mary's hospital in Paddington shortly after the game and spoke with Mason's family.

And Mason's former club Tottenham have also responsible for a great gesture.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino addressed the incident in his weekly press conference ahead of the FA Cup tie with Wycombe on Saturday, and revealed the video gesture.

Pochettino and his squad spent the start of the week taking part in some warm-weather training in Barcelona.

And after arriving back in England, the Tottenham manager, along with other members of staff, paid a visit to Mason in hospital.

It remains to be seen how long Mason will need before returning to top-flight action, but he'll surely be buoyed by the support he's received throughout the game, particularly from his former club.

Nice touch, lads.
