Tottenham are currently hoping to tie down Christian Eriksen to a new deal at White Hart Lane.
The 24-year-old has reportedly rejected their latest offer but remains hopeful they can come to a resolution, according to the Standard.
The Dane marveled last season in the Premier League with his creativity and assists as it's believed he is looking to be in the same pay bracket with some of the highest earners at the club.
After joining from Ajax, he's on a reported £30,000-a-week deal, in contrast to keeper and skipper Hugo Lloris who makes £80,000, while Erik Lamela and Harry Kane are on £70,000 and £50,000, respectively.

To put that in perspective, Jonjo Shelvey makes £80,000 a week. EIGHTY! And that's in England's second tier with Newcastle.
No wonder Eriksen is holding out for a better deal.
