The Premier League Clubs' Best Players Of This Decade Have Been Named

Jamie Vardy, David Silva and David de Gea have all been named as the standout players for their Premier League clubs for the decade.

The Guardian compiled the names for the "outstanding [performers] during the past 10 years for each of the current 20 top-flight."

Vardy helped fire Leicester City to the Premier League title in their memorable 2015-16 campaign.

And the 32-year-old Foxes striker is currently leading the race for the Premier League Golden Boot as his side continue to push ahead with a potential title challenge.

According to the Guardian, Premier League defenders "will have a party when Vardy retires."

De Gea, who has been heavily criticised for his inconsistent form this season, was named Manchester United's Player of the Year for three consecutive seasons.

And the 29-year-old Spanish shot-stopper, who won the Premier League title in the 2012-13 season, also scooped the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award for the 2017-18 campaign.

The Guardian said that since Sir Alex Ferguson's departure from United in 2013, De Gea has been the "sole world-class presence at Old Trafford."

The publication said Silva, who will leave the defending Premier League champions at the end of the season, will exit Manchester City "after a decade of midfield play that has been akin to Picasso in his cubist period: a one-off exhibition of unique artistry."
