The 10 Best Premier League Managers Of The Last Decade Have Been Ranked

Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp have been ranked alongside the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson in the top 10 Premier League managers of the previous decade.

FourFourTwo compiled the rankings and placed Manchester City boss Guardiola at the top of the pile.

Guardiola arrived at City in 2016 and ended his first season in charge without a trophy, which is the only time that has happened in his managerial career.

But the ex-Barcelona boss would end the following season with a record-breaking 100 points in the league and last year completed a historic domestic treble with City.

FourFourTwo said that City "became a behemoth under the Catalan's custody" and Guardiola's men are "responsible for more records than Bob Dylan."

Klopp, who placed second in the rankings, had his Liverpool side push City to the final day of the season in the title race last year.

But the Reds are the clear favourites to snatch the league title away from City thanks to their scintillating form this season.

FourFourTwo called former Borussia Dortmund coach Klopp a "superb training-ground coach and tactician."

Mauricio Pochettino surprisingly beat Ferguson to third place, despite being axed from Tottenham this season.

The publication defended the former Spurs boss' lack of silverware in his career and said he did a "truly magnificent job across five and a bit years in North London."

Legendary former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was left out of the rankings, with the football magazine arguing that his time in the 2010s pales in comparison to his success in the 1990s.

The publication explained: "Even Arsenal's continuity in their league finishes helped to mask an enormous a**e-up of a title challenge in 2015/16, when they caved under minimal pressure to let Leicester achieve the impossible.

"Wenger deserves tremendous respect, but he doesn't quite make our top 10 managers from the past 10 years."
