Manchester City have been named the best club in world football right now ahead of Premier League rivals Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool.

City also defeated Tottenham 1-0 at Wembley to secure the Carabao Cup, but the Premier League champions failed to lift the Champions League trophy.
Despite their Champions League final defeat to Chelsea, Guardiola's side were ranked as the best club in world football by FiveThirtyEight.
FiveThirtyEight awarded City a Soccer Power Index score of 92.4, with Bayern Munich coming second with an SPI of 90.7.
The SPI system is calculated using a points system as each club received three points for a win, one point for a draw and none for a loss.
