Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski and Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi have been named as the two best-performing players in world football right now.

Messi, 33, won his unprecedented sixth Ballon d'Or in 2019 and remained in fine form last season, despite Barcelona's lacklustre season.

Lewandowski, meanwhile, was in phenomenal goalscoring form last season as he fired Bayern to a treble.
