Being World champions, there's perhaps not many improvements that need making to the current Germany squad, but there's two players who Toni Kroos wishes could declare themselves for his home nation.
Joachim Loew's team fell at the second to last hurdle at Euro 2016 and will be hoping to improve upon their showing in France this past Summer when they defend the World Cup in Russia in two years time. And Kroos feels there's two of his Real Madrid teammates who would improve 'Die Mannschaft' were they allowed to represent them.
In an interview with Kicker, Kroos revealed he wished Gareth Bale and Luka Modric shared his nationality when asked which of his 'Los Blancos' colleagues he thought would add the most to the World Champions:
"Good question. One? Can I have two? Then they are Luka Modrić and Gareth Bale. Playing with Luka is incredibly fun. From the very first day, we've got a great understanding of two similar thinking but differently playing types. We complement each other. Gareth is with his speed, his left foot and his heading ability super weapon."

It's probably for the best that Modric and Bale can't declare for Germany, as every other nation would have to bin off international football instead of even attempting to deal with such a threat.
