Details of Timo Werner's Chelsea deal have emerged and it looks as though the Germany striker will be collecting some serious pennies in West London.

Last week, the Blues announced they had activated his £49 million release clause to lure him from RB Leipzig, who he will leave on July 1 after spending four years at the Bundesliga outfit.

Werner has signed a five-year deal at Chelsea and is set to pocket a handsome pay packet at Stamford Bridge. As per BILD, the 24-year old will earn £14 million-a-year in the Premier League.

Broken down further, that equates to £270,000-per-week and £38,500-per-day - making the former Stuttgart man the club's second top earner at the club behind N'Golo Kante, who is said to take home £290,000-a-week.

He will also receive a £10 million signing-on bonus to add to an already lucrative contract. But it will of course be money well spent if Werner is able to replicate his Leipzig form in a blue shirt.

In four seasons at the Red Bull-backed club, Werner has scored 93 goals in 158 appearances - including 26 in 33 Bundesliga appearances this term.

When it comes to all competitions, he has struck 32 times in 44 appearances - as well as laying on 13 assists for teammates.

He became Frank Lampard's second exciting summer addition, with the Blues having already wrapped up the £36 million signing of Ajax's Moroccan midfielder Hakim Ziyech as they look to push on next season.

"I am delighted to be signing for Chelsea, it is a very proud moment for me to be joining this great club," Werner told Chelsea's official website after the deal was announced.

"I, of course, want to thank RB Leipzig, the club and the fans, for four fantastic years. You will forever be in my heart.

"I look forward to next season with my new teammates, my new manager and, of course, the Chelsea fans. Together, we have a very successful future ahead of us."
