Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey is reportedly attracting plenty of interest from the Premier League.

AS are reporting that the 23-year old has admirers in Middlesbrough, West Ham and Watford, who are all eyeing up a move in the summer.

Partey, a regular in the Ghana side, has struggled for gametime this season and has made just eight appearances in all competitions for Atletico this term - with his total of minutes on the pitch adding up to just 242.

Last season, he played 23 times - including making a substitute appearance in the Champions League final against Real Madrid last season, where Atleti lost out on penalties.

But he's found minutes hard to come by this season and could be set for an exit when the summer rolls around.

He looked good value to leave in January but Atletico did not want to sell him after being hit with a transfer embargo in relation to their recruitment of young players.

The Ghanaian has a release clause of 24 million euros, which equates to around £20 million.

The versatile midfielder predominantly plays as a defensive midfielder but does have the ability to play further up the pitch in midfield. He is normally brought on by Diego Simeone when Atletico are looking to see out a game and secure a victory.

He hasn't featured as regularly as he would have liked this term but he would likely command a starting place should he move to a lower Premier League side.

West Ham and Middlesbrough are the two leading clubs as far as a summer move goes, though Watford have also been linked and tried to sign him last year when former boss Quique Sanchez Flores was in charge for their first season back in the top flight.

Atletico haven't been able to maintain their usual level this season and are currently in fourth place in La Liga, seven points behind league leaders Barcelona. They take on Bayer Leverkusen in the first leg of the Champions League last 16 next week.
