Following Atletico Nacional's Copa Libertadores triumph, their celebrations ended in violence.
The Colombian outfit beat Ecuadorian side Independiente del Valle 1-0 subsequently claiming their first title post-Pablo Escobar era and the first by a Colombian team since 2004, hence the raucous celebrations.

Needless to say, they celebrated the success yet it marred the match as the post-match events took a turn for the worst. As reported by the Associated Press three people were killed.

The scenes also caused a further 23 people suffering injuries while 100 arrests were made as well as the police intervening "more than 600 hundred street fights" between the rival sets of fans.
It's believed that one of the victims was sporting a Medellin shirt when he was slashed in the neck with a knife. There were also reports that mobs of Nacional fans attacked their counterparts in Bogota.
It's looking grim.
