In news that will no doubt infuriate Arsenal fans who are rapidly becoming more and more disillusioned with Arsene Wenger's management of the club, Thierry Henry, who left the club following an ultimatum from the French manager regarding his punditry work with Sky Sports, could now become a coach at one of the Gunners' London rivals.

Wenger informed Henry that he couldn't continue to work at the club in a coaching capacity unless he committed himself to the role full time and ended his £4m-a-year contract with Sky Sports. Henry, who even offered to perform his duties at the club for free, ended up leaving after refusing to bow to Wenger's demands and could now continue his coaching career at West Ham.

Henry had been working with the Gunners' under-18 squad before he parted ways with the North London club and is keen to gain his UEFA Pro License next season, which would enable him to become a top-flight manager. The Arsenal legend has reportedly been inundated with offers since news of his departure broke and the Frenchman would prefer to remain in London, making the Hammers, who are reported to have reached out to the former Barcelona man, a favourable option.

The East London club, who thrived under the management of Slaven Bilic, last season, would also allow Henry to continue with his punditry duties.

Watford are also believed to have made a tentative offer to Henry.
