Over 200,000 People Sign Petition To Try And Get FIFA To Replay Colombia-England

Salty, salty, salty.

By now, we're used to football petitions being created by bitter Liverpool fans but some Colombian folks have outdone them by setting up one in relation to their penalty shoot-out defeat to England. And it's growing at a ridiculous pace.

Incredibly, someone has logged on to change.org and started a petition to try and get FIFA, the world football governing body, to replay the game.

The Moscow last 16 encounter was a fiery and physical contest, with eight yellow cards shown by the man in the middle, American official, Mark Geiger.

Key incidents included Wilmar Barrios somehow avoiding a red card for a blatant headbutt on Jordan Henderson inside the penalty area, and Carlos Sanchez rugby-tackling Harry Kane from a corner - leading to the 57th minute penalty that was so coolly dispatched by the England skipper.

Yet somehow, it is the South American outfit that are feeling hard done by - hence the petition coming about and attracting 200,000 signatures and counting.

The creator of the petition wants two controversial incidents that didn't go to VAR to be reviewed - the penalty call and a goal from Carlos Bacca that was ruled out - as they believe the moments were key to the end result and England's triumph on penalties.

Colombian supporters deem it to be a "non-existent foul" for the spot-kick that Kane converted, while they reckon Bacca's goal in extra time was a legitimate one despite Harry Maguire being distracted by a second ball that was about to make its way onto the pitch.

The AC Milan striker fired past Jordan Pickford but the referee had already blown the whistle, as the second ball would have undoubtedly been on the pitch had the linesman not intervened.

You just have to laugh at the incredible levels of saltiness being shown by Colombia, who would appear to be very sore losers indeed.
