There Is A 'Complete Breakdown' In Lionel Messi's Relationship With Barcelona Teammate

Trouble in paradise.

It appears trouble is brewing at Barcelona.

The La Liga champions have dropped points in two of their last three league games. Barcelona drew two-a-piece with Girona and most recently were held 1-1 to Athletic Bilbao.

In both fixtures, Lionel Messi cut a frustrated figure, remonstrating with the match officials.

He's failed to face the media and as a result, he's been lambasted by Gerard Pique who claims Messi doesn't speak when the going gets tough and only talks to reporters back in Argentina.

That's according to Spanish outlet El Chiringuito de Jugones via Mirror.

Messi reportedly responded by criticising Pique and Barcelona's defence, stating the side has conceded way too many goals.

Further reports claim there's a 'complete breakdown' in Pique and Messi's relationship.

Barcelona have let in eight league goals from seven matches thus far. The most out of the top four sides in Spain.

Pique has also been center of some defensive mistakes, and subject to criticism from fans and local press.

Messi, on the other hand, has already weighed in with five goals from seven league matches not to mention bagging a hat-trick in the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Barcelona continue their European venture on Wednesday night against Spurs.
