The Top 25 Most Valuable Players In World Football Right Now

PSG sensation Kylian Mbappe is the most valuable player in world football according to TransferMarkt.

The Frenchman, who has scored an insane 72 goals in 102 appearances for Paris Saint-Germain since making the £166 million move in 2017, is now said to be worth £180 million.

Mbappe's placement on the list backs up the comments of Jose Mourinho in March when the Portuguese manager said he was "the most valuable player in the world" because of his age and ability.

The 20-year old's teammate Neymar is second on the list having been rated at £162 million, with Raheem Sterling occupying third with a market value of £144 million after a stunning 2019 for club and country.

Champions League winner Sadio Mane, who finished fourth in the Ballon d'Or rankings, is level with his Liverpool colleague Mo Salah on £135 million.

There's further Premier League representation in the top ten with Harry Kane and Kevin De Bruyne, who are both also rated £135 million along with Eden Hazard.

Six-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi has also been given the same price tag as the aforementioned names after experiencing a slight dip in value despite not running out of magic on the pitch, while his Barcelona teammate Antoine Griezmann completes the top ten.

£99 million-rated Trent Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool is the most valuable defender, just ahead of his defensive partner and Ballon d'Or runner up Virgil van Dijk.

Golden boy Joao Felix is in 12th on £99 million alongside fellow wonderkid Jadon Sancho, with Ousmane Dembele, Bernardo Silva, N'Golo Kante, Leroy Sane and Paul Pogba all making the top 20.

Atletico Madrid shotstopper Jan Oblak is the most valuable goalkeeper in the world, beating Yacine Trophy winner Alisson Becker - who is valued at £81 million along with teammate Roberto Firmino.

There is no place for Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been discounted from the list altogether.
