Mauricio Pochettino was one of the first people to congratulate Harry Kane following his two-goal haul in England's opening World Cup game versus Tunisia.

Gareth Southgate named Harry Kane as his captain, and he led his side to a dramatic victory on Monday.

Kane bagged a brace including a stoppage time winner, sealing all three points ahead of Group games against Panama then Belgium.

It continues his incredible goal scoring form following his prolific campaign at Spurs last season under Pochettino. He chipped in with an impressive 30 Premier League goals, narrowly missing out on the Golden Boot to Liverpool's Egyptian King; Mohamed Salah.

After improving his goal tally on the international scene, his phone was buzzing with alerts including a touching message from Kane's Argentinean club boss which included lots of love heart emojis.

"Poch texted me and after the game as well," he told reporters via FourFourTwo.

"He sent a lot of love hearts and said: 'Come on England!' He is rooting for me. He has a lot of lads here.

"He is not just my boss, he's my mate, he's the manager but he's a friend as well.

"He wants me and the whole team to do well."

Class.

Kane enjoys a brilliant working relationship with Pochettino, and the message he sent to him clearly underlines that sentiment.

As well as Kane, Spurs' England contingent also consists of Dele Alli, Danny Rose, Eric Dier and Kieran Trippier who performed brilliantly.

Meanwhile, England resume their Russian venture against Panama on Sunday, before facing Belgium in a tasty clash.

IT'S COMING HOME, LADS!!!
