With just under a year to the 2018 World Cup, this summer we've been treated to the under-20 World Cup and the under-21 European Championships which is currently in progress.

The two competitions has given football fans the opportunity to gaze upon the up and coming talent ahead of next years footballing showpiece.

But The Telegraph have gone one step further by ranking the top 50 young players in world football.

There you have it. No real surprise that Mbappe tops the list following his remarkable season which has seen him been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid and Arsenal.

And he's not the only player from the French outfit. Lemar and new signing Tielemans also make the top 20.

AS Monaco's three players in the top 20 is matched by Borussia Dortmund who boast Pulisic, Weigl and Dembele.

The French wonderkid starred for his national side in their most recent victory against England. He's also been subject to intense transfer speculation with Barcelona reportedly eyeing him up.
