The Southern Premier Is Officially The Craziest League This Season

The Southern Premier Is Officially The Craziest League This Season

ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!

A lot is made of the Premier League and its unpredictability but when it comes to the craziest league this season, in England or elsewhere, the Southern Premier takes the cake.

For starters, all of the top six have scored at least 99 goals and accrued 97 or more points.

And because of the structure of the league, where one goes up as champions [Hereford] and another team achieves promotion through the play-offs - it means three of those teams will be remaining in the division for another season.

It's pretty mental when you think of it. But wait, there's more.

With only one team getting relegated from the division, three teams to have shipped in more than 100 goals across the campaign will stay up.

Bottom club, Dunstable Town have conceded 137 and have a shocking goal difference of -110, but Gosport Borough, who have let in 142, won't be going down. The same can be said for St Ives Town and Farnborough.

A tad further up the league, you've got Merthyr Town and Frome Town sitting nicely in mid table despite conceding 98 and 96 goals respectively this season.

Then, to top things off - the winners of the league are handed a big fuck off shield that takes about 30 men to carry.

Move over Premier League, the Southern Premier League is where it's at...
